First of the Season

Dinner last night
La Be'casse

Right up the road from us.
Mulling my usual appetizer, "gravlax with shot of Aquavit" when our server came up and said that they just added morels.

So fresh that they weren't even on the chalkboard (evening specials) yet.

OF Course!

Nicely done with bit of chopped wild leeks (also in season) a morel creme sauce over toast points.


Time to get into the woods, esp. as our woodlot covers the hills above La Be'casse.
